After spending 2 months in the Philippines my hubby and I had a chance to go out of the country even for just a couple of days. This is our first official travel together as husband and wife. At the airport we already had fun playing our favorite card game (tong it) while waiting to board the plane. As usual, I won! But I’m not telling what price I got…

My two beautiful nieces picked us up at the airport (Dawn & Danna). I’m so jealous because both of them are taller than me. I used to take care of them when they were still kids and now they are bigger than me. Well, I guess everybody gets taller except me.

Afternoon of our arrival we went to West Coast park and had our picnic there. By the way, my sister gave us a taste of how challenging it is to take care of a little boy. Oh boy, we only had few hours with our nephew (Mark) and indeed it seems like a week. But despite his naughtiness; he’s very sweet, I’m kinda jealous becuase hubby got lots of kisses from him.

On our second day we went to the club house adjacent to my sister’s house and we swam for a short while. Hubby got dizzy after going to the slide, so we decided to just play cards. Since it was Chinese New Year almost all of the establishments were closed, so we just stayed at my sister’s house after.

On our third day we decided to embark on our own. With the help of the map and MRT we were able to go to Chinatown, where we had our breakfast. We also went to Clarke Quay and did some site seeing and refreshments. We ended our day at Vivo City with my sister and the kids. We had our luscious dinner at the Thai Express, so good that we forgot to take pictures (as we usually does).

As much as we want to stay longer we can’t, hubby has to go back to work. But ofcourse travel will not be complete without the sweet ending, Swensens dessert at Changi Airport. Yummy!!
